Cercherò di dilungarmi il meno possibile cercando di fornire solo le indicazioni essenziali per permettere a chi è "fuori dell'ambiente" di poter avere un'infarinatura generale, chiaramente i regolamenti sono un pochino più articolati di quanto vi racconterò.

A mio avviso ritengo che ogni allevatore debba partecipare (o almeno assistere) a qualche importante esposizione durante l'anno, quantomeno per rendersi meglio conto di "quel che abbiamo" e "di dove stiamo andando".
Certo, si possono guardare comodamente da casa milioni di foto su internet, e seguire le classifiche degli shows più importanti, ma penso che non sia esattamente la stessa cosa rispetto al "toccare con mano" la realtà.

Nelle esposizioni il giudice stila una "classifica" e una "qualifica" sia per i maschi che per le femmine.
I cani vengono suddivisi in "classi" a seconda dell'età.

le classi sono a partire dai più giovani:

baby (solo raduni)
juniores
giovani
intermedia
libera
campioni (tecnicamente un cane maggiore di 15 mesi può essere campione se ha già termitato il campionato)

la qualifiche a partire dalla migliore, sono:

eccellente
molto buono
buono
sufficiente
per i cani iscritti in "classe juniores":
molto promettente
promettente


le qualifiche sono (come è semplice intuire):

1°
2°
3°

IL CAMPIONATO ITALIANO
Solamente i cani iscritti in classe intermedia e libera possono ottenere il CAC (Certificato d'Attitudine al Campionato). Nelle esposizioni viene assegnato un solo CAC per i maschi e un solo CAC per le femmine.

Per ricevere il titolo di Campione Italiano un soggetto deve ottenere:

2 CAC in esposizione NAZIONALE
2 CAC in esposizione INTERNAZIONALE
2 CAC in MOSTRA SPECIALE e/o RADUNO

IL CAMPIONATO INTERNAZIONALE
Per diventare Campione Internazionale, un soggetto iscritto in classe intermedia, libera o campioni, deve ottenere:

2 CACIB in Italia
2 CACIB in 2 paesi stranieri

Molto spesso vi capiterà leggendo i risultati delle esposizioni di trovare strane sigle subito dopo la qualifica. Ognuna di esse ha un significato ben preciso:

CAC - certificato di attitudine al campionato

RCAC - riserva di CAC

CACIB - certificato di attitudine al campionato internazionale di bellezza

RCACIB - riserva CACIB

BOS - miglior soggetto del proprio sesso

BOB - miglior soggetto di razza

BOG - miglior soggetto del gruppo (tutti i cani sono suddivisi in gruppi. Nel nostro caso parliamo del "gruppo 2"

BIS - miglior soggetto dell'esposizione (il migliore tra tutti i gruppi)

In Italy there are different kind of shows, Regional, National, International, Special Shows, Gatherings, European-shows and World-shows.

I will try to dwell so less as possible trying to give only the basic information to allow to whom is "out of the circle" to be able to have a general smattering of the rules that are clearly, just a bit more articulated than the way I will tell you.

My opinion is that every serious breeder should during the year, participate (or at least come to look) to some important shows, at least to have a better idea about "the dogs we have in this moment" and about “the breed evolution”.
Certainly, you can looking million of photos in the web staying comfortably at home, and follow the results of the most important shows, but I think that’s not the same as “touch” the reality.

In the shows the judge draws up a "results" and a "grade" one for males and one for females.
The dogs are divided into "classes" according to the age.

the classes begin from the youngest:

baby (only gathering)
juniors
young
intermediary
open class
champions (technically a dog older than 15 months, could be champion if he/she has already finished the championship)


the results beginning from the best, are:

excellent
very good
good
sufficient
for the dogs enrolled in " juniors class ":
very promising
promising

the results are (as it is easy to realize):
1st
2nd
3rd


THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Only dogs enrolled in intermediary and open class can get the CAC (Certified of attitude to the Championship). During the shows one CAC is given to males and one to females.

To become Italian Champion a dog must get:

2 CACs in National shows
2 CACs in International shows
2 CACs in Special Show and/or Gatherings

THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
To become International Champion, a dog enrolled in intermediary class, open class or champion, must get:

2 CACIBs in Italy
2 CACIBs in 2 foreign countries


By reading the results of the shows, you will very often find just after the qualification strange abbreviation, but each of them has a well precise meaning:

CAC - certified of attitude to the championship

RCAC - reserve of CAC

CACIB - certified of attitude to the international beauty championship

RCACIB - reserve CACIB

BOS - best subject of his/her own sex

BOB - best subject of the breed

BOG - best subject of the group (all the dogs are divided into groups. In our case we speak of "group 2")

BIS - best subject in the show (the best among all groups)
